The Ekahi Health Network (EHN), a physician organization in ‘Ekahi Health System, strives to continuously improve the health of the community by creating new care delivery models, enhancing clinical processes, and sharing knowledge and resources.  Our vision is to set the standard for a high performing provider organization by: 


  • Being leaders in the development of systems-based collaborative care;
  • Fostering the development of “advanced primary care practices” essential to creating a successful healthcare system;
  • Developing care management resources that strengthen the patient-provider relationship, coordinate care and encourage patient engagement; and

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a health-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with all levels of employees, management, executives, providers and external organizations
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Comfortable and effective in influencing stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent public speaking skills and knowledge of adult education, coaching principles and excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience in implementation of patient centered practice operations within an ambulatory outpatient clinic setting desired
  • Supervisory experience involving ambulatory care team members including Medical Assistants, Health Coaches, Physicians and Nurses desirable


The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors (Board) and be responsible for all administrative functions of EHN, which includes working with the Medical Director to plan, implement, and evaluate the activities of all operating components to ensure the organization successfully meets its objectives. The Executive Director will also keep the Board advised and will seek assistance, and when appropriate, consent from the Board to coordinate and manage all activities of the organization.


Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and coordination of the activities of the organization
  • Organize and lead physician meetings, facilitate discussion and implement priorities
  • Working with HMSA to assist practices in meeting quality and utilization measures
  • Ensuring proper communication with physician practices
  • Providing project management for clinical delivery transformation
  • Overseeing deployment of population health resources across the organization
  • Act to identify causes, gather and process information, generate solutions that are in alignment with the vision and values of the organization
  • Identify best practices and oversee the monitoring, documentation and communication of best practices across all ‘Ekahi practices
  • Assist with the development and execution of annual organizational strategy and goals
  • Perform other duties as required
